The Pecker is a small pivoting arm which hits on the belt when the door lever is activated.
The Pecker Assembly is the whole mechanism which incorporates the pecker. There are various
different styles of pecker assemblies and they are not always situated on the motor. They work
by forming a bridge between the pivot point of the arm and a point on the motor shaft or belt,
(as in the drawing), if the motor is revolving the pecker is pushed off and the bridge is not
formed, whereby the cable from the interlock is slake and the door latch is not operated.
