This tool was designed by Hotpoint to overcome the problem of fitting belts to
there vogue 4 vented tumble driers. Because they use a stretchy belt there are no
adjustments to the belt tension, and so actually hooking the belt onto the motor
shaft posed a real problem for their engineers. The tip of the tool hooks into the base of the cabinet and the two pins rest on the belt. By levering downwards the belt can be fitted over the motor shaft with comparative ease. should you decide you want one, the part number from Hotpoint's own web site is (5600266), but they are not cheap. |
